Schedule for Test Session on Monday, May 11th

Good evening! I'm writing to confirm the test schedule intended for Monday, May 11th:

A few logistics to share:

• All tests will be completed during this one session.

  • We will have a total of six warm-up flights. 

  • Special Note: All freestyle tests have 2 components--the compulsory and the program. Both components need to be passed to have completed the freestyle test. 

  • Skaters must pass the compulsory portion to be able to perform the program. Therefore, all skated programs are contingent on passing the compulsory test. 

  • Outcomes of tests will be given to the skater/coach following their flight/warm-up (unless they are skating multiple dances in a level--results will be given after the level is completed).

• We ask that your skater be at the rink (and ready with skates) at least 20 minutes before the scheduled warm-up--in case we get a bit ahead. The exception is those starting at 5:00pm--they should be in the arena and ready to go by 4:45pm, please.  

• As shared before, you must pay for your skater's ice time in the pro shop. Kristan will send you an email indicating how much ice time you should pay for on the day of the test. This will be sent in another email.

• The test fee (breakdown found below) should be given to Kristan by Monday, May 11th. It can be cash (exact change preferred) or a check made out toLou & Gib Reese Ice Arena. Kristan will send you an email indicating how much your skater's test fee will be for this session.

5:00pm: Freestyle 1 Warm-up

Test Fee
ISI charges us to register each test taken, and we will have some minimal costs associated with hosting a test session. For the upcoming season, we will use the following fee structure:

Freestyle Tests

• Freestyle 1-3: $10/test

• Freestyle 4-5: $15/test

• Freestyle 6-7: $20/test

• ***Freestyle 8-10 cannot be done at our rink but can be done by video or at a District or National competition/ test session.***

Pairs Tests

• Pair 1-3: $10/test for each skater testing

• Pair 4-5: $15/test for each skater testing

• Pair 6-7: $20/test for each skater testing

• ***Pair 8-10 cannot be done at our rink but can be done by video or at a District or National competition/ test session.***

Pattern Dance Test

• Dance 2 through 4 (Dutch Waltz through Fiesta Tango) will be $5/dance test.

• Dance 5-7 (Hickory Hoedown through Rocker Foxtrot) will be $10/dance test.

• ***Dance 8-10 cannot be done at our rink but can be done by video or at a District or National competition/ test session.***

Solo Free Dance Test

• Open Solo Bronze will be $5/test

• Open Solo Silver will be $10/test

• Open Solo Gold and Open Solo Platinum will be $15/test

• Open Solo Diamond will be $20/test
