Newark Adult League Hockey
Adult League
For adults ages 18 years old and up that are new to hockey and would like to learn to play. This is a beginner adult hockey program that includes instruction and a controlled scrimmage to incorporate the skills learned each week in preparation to join the Newark Adult Hockey League (NAHL) program. Limited to 24 skaters and 2 goalies.
Structure:
30 minutes of complete hockey instruction—skating, passing, shooting, positional play.
30 minutes of controlled scrimmage—instructor will “ref” as well as provide pointers and positional explanation throughout.
Additional Information:
Having basic skating skills are encouraged. Adult basic skills class is strongly recommended, but not required, as a pre-requisite (or concurrent enrollment) to optimize skater experience in this program.
Full hockey gear is required. LGRIA does not provide this, but Newark Ice Hockey Association can assist with gear. Please contact them at info@newarkhockey.com to arrange a gear fitting.
